Abandoned Interchanges

Vidcaps taken by Alex Nitzman 07/27/93.

Exits 250 and 251 on Interstate 10 in northeastern New Orleans were abandoned during the early 1990s. The two diamond interchanges are situated within the Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge to the northeast of the developed city.

The above two images look at Exit 250 on Interstate 10 eastbound. Since 1993 this interchange has been reopened, and now serves swamp tours at the Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge.
This is exit 251 on Interstate 10 eastbound. As of March 23, 2002, this interchange remains abandoned.
